Task 1: Plan Your Pitch!

What is a pitch?
pitch is a presentation of a business idea to potential investors (people that will give your business money to help the business in return for some money back later).

People pitch a business because they need resources (resources could be materials to make the products, advertising, space to make the product, a place to sell the product from and a huge variety of things).

Your goal is to raise startup money, the target of the pitch is an investor. (Other businesses pitch to potential customers to sell their product. Finally, some organisations pitch because they need a partner or resource to help them accomplish their mission.)

    My company is called F4tu Wild games

    What is my product/game?
    My game is called Water Balloon
    Te instructions are: Each team tries to get their balloons to the goal. The opponent tries to pop the balloon before it gets to the goal line. You can play with multiple balloons at one time. Once all balloons reached the goal line or are popped, the other team gets a shot. Points are awarded when a team crosses the goal line.

    How is it different to games that have come before?
    It is different to games that have come before because it is football but by using a different technique.

    Who is it designed to appeal to? What age ranges will buy it?
    Water balloon Football is a game designed to appeal everyone apart from children under 5 because from my experience with my brothers they still need more time to learn how to throw and they might cry suddenly if we splash water at them however most children over 5 are more mature and would most likely either whine and want revenge or laugh it off and continue playing .The age range that would buy this product is 5+

    Why will they buy it?
    Parents can buy this for their children for a treat or a chance to spend more time with them

    How will you make it become the new popular thing for children?
    I will make it become the new popular thing for children by putting up posters using persuasive language in the poster as well and also advertising.

    What are the benefits of your game/product?
    This game develops childrens running skills and makes them a little more competitive the game also gets children to learn how to work as a team

    2. My game is dominoes (shape version)
    3. It is different to the normal version of dominoes because instead there are shapes instead of dots and the aim is to get the highest value at the end of the game but it is your last placed domino you add up the value of the shapes.
    4. It is designed for people who are interested in challenging themselves.
    The type of ages that are ment to appeal to is any age from seven to seventy.
    5. People will buy my game because they will enjoy it and I will persuade as much people as I can to try the game.
    6. I will make it become a new popular game for children because children are getting tired of stuff to play in their garden because they are sick and tired of the old games so why not try out a new one.
    7. The benifit of my game is development and social skills because the game makes you think so you develop your thinking skills.

    That the kids know how to aim at the target 🎯 and so they can have fun and them not to be on there phone 📞 and iPad.

  4. Hello, pleased to meet you. My name is Scarlett and my company is called knock a skittle. This is a game that can be played indoors or outdoors and for 3 years old and over.It’s a fun game that can be played for any occasion and also to purchase for a gift. I save plastic pop and water bottles and also have them donated from family and friends. I would need 150 pounds to build my business as that will be the cost for the balls and I will then sell my product for bargain price of 3.99 which I think can potentially make a profit thank you for your time.

    • Good pitch however think about your cost. If you need £150 and will charge £3.99 each time. How many times would someone need to play to make that much money as well as a decent profit.

    My company’s name is ‘football fantasy’.
    What is my product or game?
    My game is like football penalty but instead of scoring in the goal and the goal keeper stopping the football you have to try and shoot the ball at 50 cardboard targets and you have to see which person hits the most targets in 20 seconds.
    how is it different to games that have come before? why is it unique?
    My game is not really that unique as there are a couple of games which are similar to mine like water gun games, in this game you have to try and shoot the target but instead of cardboard the targets can be people and instead of a football there is a water gun.
    who is it designed to appeal to? which age ranges would buy it?
    My game is mostly designed to appeal all ages over 5+ so all age ranges over 5+ can buy it.
    why will they buy it?
    people could buy this game for family fun and to play with their friends outdoors.
    how will you make it the new popular sport for kids?
    I will make it the new popular sport for kids by probably making persuasive adverts that will attract them.
    what are the benefits of your game?
    the benefits/positive things of my game:
    1) it can improve children’s shooting skills in football.
    2) it can make children smile and have fun with their family and friends.

    My product is a ball that is compressed with a is but is super light so you can hit curving shots all the time.

    My product is unique as it is not any old football as it is super light and can curve all of the time that is how it is unique.

    It is designed to appeal to 7+ as it needs a little bit of skill.

    Some will buy as a gift some will buy it as a thing for them self so they can play with it. Either way people will have having fun.

    You could do this buy getting posters or if you want it to be even bigger you could buy billboards and put it on advertisements.

    It is different to games that have come before because although it includes some things from other games, it also includes equipment that has never been in any other game before.

    What is my product/game? My game is you have to pass the ball to the other person in 5 sec they lose but if they do it in less than 5 sec they get a point.

    How is it different to games that have come before? Why is it unique? It’s different to other games because they probably didn’t use a point system or even a timer.It’s unique by it’s name and how you play it.

    Who is it designed to appeal to? What age ranges will buy it?
    Kids over 5 can play it because kids under 5 might not catch it and it might hit their head and they might get hurt.

    Why will they buy it? (Eid/Christmas/Diwali gift?) They can buy it as a Eid gift or Christmas gift but I wouldn’t recommend t for a Diwali gift.

    How will you make it become the new popular thing for children? I can make it the new popular thing for children by making it come with every object e.g. it comes with the timer,3 balls.

    – What are the benefits of your game/product? the benefits are coordination development,fitness and social skills because this game can improve your fitness and make your brain and body work faster by catching the ball fast or even throw the ball fast.

  11. My product is a lighting football called Magic football that will light up red if it touches a cone or something to warn you and help you stay concentrated. The ball will light up blue if it not being used correctly for tackling. This lighting ball will be used from age group 5 years old and will help with training children to become great footballer in the future. Adverts will be on Facebook and posters will be up in sport centres for children to buy. I will sell this product online. Magic football will cost me £4 each to make and I will sell this for £14.99.

    it is a company witch makes special footballs that you can do the knuckleball with(not to be used near children under 3 or they will get hit in the face and then they will break there neck and go hospital)

    My game is called “Traffic Flag”
    I think it is different and unique because I have never seen outdoor games collab with each other.
    The age range could be from 7 – 12. If you are from 12 – 16, you could go advanced and make it 2x harder.
    They can buy it any time, it will always be available.
    It will be the most popular because it is challenging and a long fun round. It will be like a board game which is something children love.
    The benefits are coordination development and obviously knowing the rules pretty well.

    • I like your thinking behind the products you are selling. Please read this sentence: Mine product would be balls like basketball,Football,etc. It does not make sense, please change the first word to make it make sense.

    • Very interesting Adela. However, this should be a garden game to be played now so allowing it to be purchased at festivals, when festivals are cancelled due to Covid-19, seems a bit strange to me.

    What is the product: it is called hunt ‘n’ prop . This game is where you have to have 2 or more people and one person takes a prop from the pack and has to go hide it and the other people go find it.

    Why will they buy it: well during these times it is hard to keep children entertained so you can buy this to keep your children entertained.

      Just be a bit more specific about age please. Do you think everyone would be able to play this game and understand the rules? Is it safe for all ages?
      Also, have a think about the price. £100 seems a bit overpriced. Maybe go for an easier price, thinking about families and children or teenagers who would want to buy your game. Would you be selling your game online or in stores?

    My game is like bowling , except we use bottles instead of bowling pins .
    This game is unique because there are different stages you move through and there is a grand prize for the winner of the tournament.
    It is designed for ages 5 to adults of all ages , because it brings children And parents together and gets them to spend time with each other , helps young children and adults to get healthy more active.Also it gets children away from tablets, iPads, laptops and other devices.
    This product/game can be bought for any festival like Christmas, Eid , Diwali and other festivals, because it is a wonderful game to play and bring large number of family members together at once.
    I will make it a new popular game by advertising it properly and add more features to the game, so it doesn’t get boring to play.
    The benefits from playing this game is it makes children/adults fitter , it also helps coordination and teamwork. It also helps you with maths when you count your score.
    This game is environmentally sound as you use recycled plastic bottle, so it doesn’t cost anything to make , the only cost is £1 for 5 balls, its not that expensive 50p children and £1 for adults.
    It will we demonstrate at schools in summer fairs to get it popularity, and feed back to improve it further.
