5899371.54 is bigger than 5894321.43 because the thousandths column is different the first number has 9 thousandths but the other has 4 thousandths.

Gold:
5899371.54 is bigger than 5894321.43 because when I looked at the millions, hundred thousand and ten thousand columns, they were all the same numbers. Then I looked at the thousands column and the numbers were 9 and 4. I knew that nine was bigger than four. The hundreds column were the same and then the choice of 7 and 2 came up, I knew that 7 was bigger than. The units were the same so I moved on to the t enths and hundredths column. In the tenths column, there was 4 and 5. 5 is bigger than 4. Finally there was 3 and 4 in the hundredths column. I already had known that 4 is bigger than 3 so the biggest number is 5899371.54.

Gold:
5899371.54 is bigger than 5894321.43 because the first three number of the two numbers are the same so we don’t have to look at them.We have to look at 9371.54 and 4321.43 9371.54 is bigger than 4321.43 because 9 thousand is bigger 4 thousand. So 5899371.54 is bigger.

5899371.54
5894321.43
5894321.43 has 3 hundredths however 5899371.54 has the value of 4 hundredths. looking at the tenths of the number of 5894321.43 tells me that the number 5899371.54 is bigger by one more.
so my answer is that 5899371.54 is bigger than 5894321.43.

5899371.54 is larger than 5894321.43 because I used my place value skills and I saw that the millions , hundred thousands and ten thousands were the same. So I looked at the thousands and there was a choice of four and nine. I saw that nine was larger than four by five. Then I knew that 5899371.54 was larger.

SILVER CHALLANGE

1983927 is larger than 1938571 because if you look at the first two numbers of each their both the same so look at the next and see which one is bigger.

8. Fardosa Shamba

5899371.54 is bigger than 5894321.43 because if you look at 4 and 9 nine is bigger and that’s how I know

9. Fardosa Shamba

48391 is bigger than 26821 because straight away if you look at the thousands column you can tell 4 is bigger than 2 and if you look in the too last columns are the same

FROM FARDOSA SHAMBA

Is it though the thousands column?

• Fareedah Samira

Fardosa! It’s not the thousands column you look at its the ten thousands.

10. Mehrish Iqbal

i think 48391 is bigger than 26821. the reason is that if you look at it properly 1 in the units colum are the same in the one that is not true. so u move on two the tens and that would be 9 in the one that is bigger and 2 in the false because 9 is larger so 48391 is larger

BRONZE CHALLENGE

The biggest number is 48391. I know this because the 1 is in the unit, the 9 is in the tens colum, the 3 is in the hundreds colum, the 8 is in the thosands colum and the 9 is in the ten thousands colum.

SILVER CHALLENGE

The biggest number is 5899371.54 because there is 4 hundredths, 5 tenths, decimal point, 1 units, 7 tens, 3 hundreds, 9 thousands, 9 ten thousands, 8 millions and 5 ten millions

12. Plaiza Karan

I think the biggest number out of 5899371.54 and 5894321.43 is the number 5899371.54 because if we work it through I will be proven right with evidence.

The first three numbers are all the same so we have to move on to the thousandths, which are both different because the first number is 9 and the other is 4 so 9 is bigger. Then we look at the next column which the numbers are 3 and 3 so we move on and the numbers are 7 and 2 so 7 is bigger. Then we look at the next column which numbers are 1 and 1 so we move on to the next column and the next two numbers are 5 and 4 and 5 is the biggest number so now we move on to the last column which numbers are 4 and 3 so 4 is bigger.

So I have proven my point and that 5899371.54 is the biggest number and that 5894321.43 is the smallest.
