To introduce our fantasy genre of reading and writing this half term we are going to immerse ourselves in the shire from the story ‘The Hobbit, By J.R.R Tolkien’ for World Book Day on Thursday 3rd March 2022.
We encourage all the children to begin reading the story (And parents to read to their children) as this will support everyone with their vocabulary development.
Below are outfit ideas for children, it would be lovely to see everyone make an effort and dress up as the characters from the story.
Hobbits are known for their very large, hairy feet! Let’s see you create your own creative hairy feet (glue, fur, cotton, brown wool, paint etc)
The day will consist of reading, drama, art and vocabulary development activities! If you have any ideas or questions please list them below.
