Year 6 Debate – Should PE be compulsory in the Primary Curriculum?

In English this half term we have been learning about balanced arguments. To help us plan our writing, we took part in a debate about whether PE should be compulsory in the primary curriculum.

We used research and speaking and listening skills to help us deliver our formal debate.

I think PE should be happening in schools because it gives children the chance to further their skills in a particular area.

I think everyone did a great job, their high level language was fantastic and I think this could help you plan your next writing.I think we should have more lessons similar to this because it could help us with our confidence and independence.
Everyone tried their hardest and made strong points. They spoke clearly and elaborated on their point, whether they were for or against having P.E in the Primary Curriculum. What do you think, should we have P.E in school?
