Today, year 6 had an opportunity to attend relaxation work shop. We learnt what makes us anxious and different strategies to relax. We also discussed different ways how to have a good night sleep.

    What makes you anxious?
    When I have to talk to people I don’t know.
    When I am not sure of something.
    Hoe can you relax yourself?
    By doing something that you love like a hobby.
    Sitting alone and doing meditation.
    How many hours do we really need to sleep?
    At least 8 hours.
    What can you do to have a good night sleep?
    you can avoid screen time before bed.
    exercise and open windows (a lot).

    When you move to a new place and school.
    When you get told off by someone.

    By listening to your favourite song.
    Playing your favourite games.
    Doing drawing.

    How many hours do we really need to sleep?
    You can sleep 8-10 hours or 9-11 hours.

    What can you do to have a good night sleep?
    Drink milk.
    Don’t watch videos at night.
    Sleep early.

    Saira: tests,not doing my homework/losing it.
    Afsana: exams/tests, sudden loud noises
    How can you relax yourself?
    Saira:talking to someone I can trust,colouring
    Afsana:meditation,taking a bath
    How many hours do we really need to sleep?
    6-13 years old = 9-11 hours of sleep
    14-17 years old = 8-10 hours of sleep.
    P.S. avoid caffeinated drinks an hour before sleep (coffee,tea,hot chocolate,soft drinks,blackcurrant juice.)

    Fire alarms make me anxious because I don’t really like the sound of it.

    I can relax myself by listening to music or walking my dog
    to the park.

    Up to 6-13 years old you need to approximately sleep 9-11 hours.

    What makes us anxious is homework,getting in trouble for losing your homework, when people take MY stuff.
    How can you relax yourself?
    Playing video games, playing football and arts and craft

    I am relaxed after doing this workshop. It was fun.
    1)When I just know anything what to do or anything like that can make me feel anxious.
