1. She doesn’t want him to see his Dad because he was a bad man a left his ill wife for someone else.
2. He divorced his mum and went to America and didn’t let Conor come even though he pleaded to go. He also had another kid and Conor is not angry about it.

1. Why do you think his Grandma doesn’t want to see his Dad?
Grandma doesn’t want Conor to see his dad because he wasn’t that great of a person and he was terrible at parenting Conor. He divorced his ex-wife, Conor’s current mother, for a new wife called Stephanie and hasn’t cared or shown any respect to his ex-wife’s illness which is very sad if you think about it deeply. Overall, Grandma thinks Conor’s dad represents true cruelty.
2. Why do you think Conor is getting annoyed at his Dad?
Conor is getting annoyed at his dad because he divorced his angelic mother and fled to America for a new wife. He even had a new child which Conor was very fierce about. Every time Conor pleads to go to America, his dad just thinks about foolish excuses and altering the subject. Conor’s father has good intentions but is quite flaky.

2.conor got annoyed at his dad because he wanted to go to amarica.
His Grandma doesn’t want to see his Dad because she is still angry at his dad for living his mother alone and going to America.
Conor is getting angry at his Dad because his father wouldn’t agree that going to America is a good idea.
For Conor going to America is a good idea because, in his grandma’s house, he has no internet, his room is plain white and he doesn’t feel comfortable in it. He wants to be able to do whatever he wants in his room and house.
His dad doesn’t agree because he won’t have enough room for everyone and his grandma has more space and money.
1) I think that grandma doesn’t want see dad because he left Conor when his other was very ill.
2) I think it is because his father wants to America and leave Conor but he is not allowed too.

1) She hates Conor’s dad and she told him to make sure that his father did not “overstay his welcome” she thinks that he does not deserve to stay with her for long. She thinks that as he has not been here for years and left her to die. She feels disgusted by that. She is trying her hardest to make Conor’s dad like a bad guy and is portrayed as evil by his Grandma. If all things she would turn down the offer of him visiting but he is coming as Conor insists and they really need all the extra help they can get. He is not as bad as Grandma says he is and he is also not a bad guy as he has come to support his past family even if he is not related anymore. He is trying to help them even if she is not his wife. Grandma just thinks that he is just trying to look good in front of Conor. He wants to help Mum and he wants to see his son again as he has not come in a long time due to Catherine’s (Conor’s dad’s new wife) excuses as she does not want him to go just as much as Grandma does not want him to come. She also thinks that they are fine without him.
2) Conor is angry and annoyed at his dad as he ran away to America when they needed him most. He even divorced Mum and married a really snappy bad wife. They also raised a child which Conor was very angry about. Another reason is that he wants his dad to take him out of Grandma’s house as it has not electronics for him and it is very dull and blank. She also has VERY strict rules on house regulations. He wanted his dad to take him to America as he thinks that he would have a very good time there. But his father explains the Cons of America as they have barely enough space for the three of them, they have way less money than Grandma and he thinks it will be bad to steal Conor’s life from England just so he could be in America. He believes that his life is here where his school is and all of his friends are. Conor thinks that he is just saying that. He also believes that his life will be much better at the West than here up in the North.

1.I think Conner’s grandma doesn’t want to see Connors dad because he never took care of Conner and his mum was always ill. So gran wasn’t happy with his dad for not being there.

Because He wasn’t there when they needed him and that Conor’s Grandma is very disappointed.

Maybe because Conor wanted to go to America or that Connor had to do all the work but he thought that his dad should be doing it instead and looking after his mother.
