Reception Blue – Autumn 2 – Week 1 – 12/11/21 -Fantastic Lights

This week we started our new topic called Fantastic Lights. We started the topic off by learning about the story of the Gun Powder Plot. We had lots of fun creating some amazing firework pictures using lots of different materials and techniques. We even had a go at making rockets using 2D shapes! We also spoke about the importance of firework safety.

We learnt about the gun powder plot and did some firework patterns with chalks.
We used natural resources and construction to make a bonfire and fireworks.
We made some amazing firework and rocket pictures.
We learnt about Remembrance Day and did a 2 minute silence to show our respects.
We did some fantastic maths work.
We used paint to complete some handwriting patterns.
We did some great turn taking with the tweezers and pegs.
Independent fun!
We also celebrated Kaiden’s birthday!

Why is it important to stand far away from fireworks?

    We should stand far away from fireworks because its dangerous and it can burn.
