Fantastic 3rd week in Reception Red

We have had the most fun this week learning all about Autumn. We looked at different seasons and dug a little deeper into autumn season to understand why leaves changes to fall down and why animals hibernate. In Maths, we have been comparing quantities and noticing attributes to similarities and differences. Here are some pictures and videos of our week. Make sure you comment for a treat.

Pantomime: the children enjoyed taking part in a whole school pantomime.

Literacy: Children used their phonetic knowledge to write initial sounds and CVC words.

Reading: Children played matching games by finding images and matching it to the correct CVC word.

Mastering Maths –

Maths: Children used pre cut 2D shapes to create space images.

Seal/PSED: We played together by sharing and taking turns.

SMSC/PSED: We worked together to learn how to share and take turns.

UW: We went around school to find dark and light places and looked a different sources of light.
