Remembering Miss Ramsell

Dear Parents & Carers, it is with great sadness that I have to inform you of the death of our much-loved colleague Miss Ramsell on Tuesday 26th September.

Miss Ramsell joined Broad Heath in 2017 and was a fantastic teacher. She was 100% dedicated to school and she loved and cared about every child in the classes she taught. She was also a fantastic colleague and friend to all staff in school.

Miss Ramsell had been ill for a number of years but was so strong in fighting her cancer. Even in the last few weeks of her life she had such a positive attitude towards what was happening to her and continued to see friends and family even if she had to take long rests afterwards.

We will remember Miss Ramsell for the wonderful person she was and will plan a way to celebrate her life with school colleagues, children and parents in the future.

Her funeral has been planned for 18th October, after school. We will inform families of any potential changes to the day, if it is required.

Please feel free to post any messages of condolence to Miss Ramsell’s family and we will pass them on to her family.

Here’s why we love Miss Ramsell

I am going to start by using my ABC to remember Miss Ramsell. I would always include lots of these to describe her even during her time of illness.. ABC always be cheerful, confident, calm, courageous, constructive, content and caring. The list goes on and on. I will also remember when she was at one stage free from cancer and messaged me saying I have a new ABC mantra which was, ‘Always be cancer free’ and she is now. She was loved by so many of us and will be missed so much too, but now we know she is free from pain and in peace. 🙏🙏🙏
