Robotics 2025-26 Update 🤖

Hi Robotics Teams

Shaun and I have spent some blood, sweat and tears trying to get the robotics room along so that we can work on this year’s competition.

This years competition

This year we are going to be doing “Mix and Match”

Notes

So what we need to think about.

Before the end of the year I would like to see everyone with a robot which we can tweak before the season starts in November.

Before we can build we need ideas for how the robot should look, how the robot can grab the pins and how the robot can lift the pins.

If you really want to challenge yourselves try and think how the robot can flip a pin over (think of twisting your wrist and what’s needed to do that)

For the half term if you could sketch out some ideas and we can review them when you’re back in school. Then I can show you some mechanisms and mechanics that we could potentially use.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
