Teddy has 1.77 because they have the same 2 numbers in the tenths and hundredth.
Kim has 0.87 because it’s the only one with 8 in the tenths column.
Alex has 0.08 because it’s the only one with 2 placeholders.
    Mo has 1.7.
    Platinum
Annie has 0.66 because you can have 26 hundredths so add the 0.2 to 0.4 =0.6+0.06=0.66 and if Max has 0.04 less Max has0.62.

    A)0.1 + 0.9 = 1
    B) 0.99 + 0.01 = 1
    C) 0.03 + 0.97 = 1
    D) 0.15 + 0.64 + 0.21 = 1
    E) 0.15 + 0.2 + 0.65 = 1
    F)0.46 + 0.04 + 0.5 = 1
First you have to half 64 that equal 32 then do 64+32=96 that mean shorter.

    a) 0.3 + 0.4 + 0.3 = 1
    b) 1 = 3/10 + 1/10 + 6/10
    c) 0.5 + 3/10 + 0.2 = 1
    d) 1/10 + 0.6 + 0.3 = 1
    e) 3/10 + 6/10 = 1 – 1/10
    f) 1 – 0.6 = 0.3 + 0.1

    silver:
    a) 0.1 + 0.9 = 1
    b) 0.99 + 0.01 = 1
    c) 0.03 + 0.97 = 1
    d) 0.15 + 0.64 + 0.21 = 1
    e) 0.15 + 0.20 + 0.65 = 1
    f) 0.46 + 0.04 + 0.5 = 1
    64/2 = 32cm
    0.32m + 0.32m + 0.32m = 0.96m
shorter than a metre as 0.96<1

    gold:
Teddy – 1.77 as he says he has the same digit in the tenths and hundredths columns which is 7 in both
Kim – 0.87 as she says she has 8 tenths so it has to be 0.87
Alex – 0.08 as she says her number has two zero placeholders and the only number that has that is 0.08
Mo – 1.7 as he says his number has 1 decimal place which only one number has so it is 1.7

    platinum:
Annie shaded 0.4 as she shaded 4 tenths of the square in red
she also shaded 0.26 as she says she shaded 26 hundredths in blue
    0.4 + 0.26 = 0.66

Max shaded 4 fewer hundredths than Annie
    so 4 hundredths is 0.04
    so Max shaded 0.66 – 0.04 = 0.62

    partition the decimal:
    1) 6 tenths + 2 hundredths = 0.60 + 0.02
    2) 0.31 + 0.31 = 0.62
    3) 0.40 + 0.22 = 0.62

    0.15+0.64+0.21=1
    0.15.+0.20+0.65=1
    0.46+0.04+0.5=1
Half of 64 is 32 and if two 32’s equal 64 three 32’s equal 96 and 96 is smaller than 100.
    Gold:
Teddy’s number is 1.77 because there are two sevens one in the tenths and one the hundredths.
Kim’s number is 0.87 because there are 8 tenths.
Alex’s number is 0.08 because there is one 0 before the decimal and one 0 after the decimal.
Mo’s number is 1.7 because there are one 1’s and one 7.
    Platinum:
Max shaded in 22 hundredths because 26 – 4 = 22 in decimals he has shaded in 0.22.

Each bead string is 64cm/2 which equals to 32cm. 3 bead strings are 32cm times 3 which is 96cm. 1 metre=100cm. 96cm<100cm, so the length of 3 bead strings are shorter than a metre.
