On 20th February Broad Heath took a girls and boys rowing team to the County Final Rowing Competition at Solihull. For those who don’t know, the county final is a contest between all the winners of the regional contest, which means the quality of competitors was really high. The groups have been working hard since September to get this far, and they put themselves in a good position to be successful.

It was a brilliant effort all round, and the children were indeed successful. The girls team won a bronze medal each for coming 3rd, but the boys team did even better and came first. Miss Shilton and myself are incredibly proud of all the students who took part, they have typified the values we look for in our school, been excellent role models and ambassadors for our school and most importantly GAINED for being part of the process.
