Happy World Book Day 1Red! Well done to all of you for making such a fantastic effort with your costumes! We had such a FUN day!
We were focusing on one of our favourite stories, ‘Food Fight’ by Alex Latimer.
Firstly, we shared our favourite books! We thought about the type of books we like to read, who we like to read with and where we like to read too. Everybody is different!
Next, it was time for a FOOD FIGHT! In the story, the fruits and vegetables are arguing. They don’t think the mushroom and grape should be friends as they are different. They are all so mean to each other. After some time, they realise they have been very silly and everybody makes friends.
We visited our favourite place – THE LIBRARY! We adore picking books each week.
Later, we were super creative and sketched some of the characters from the story. We enjoyed making our fruit and vegetables look angry!
Finally, we peeled and chopped fruit, following our own designs, to create a fruit face!
