Welcome to Christmas Around The World Week in 2Blue! This week, the children will learn all about the Peruvian culture and how they celebrate Christmas. Not only this, they will learn the geography of this magnificent country too. Paddington will make a visit too, I think?
What a wonderful start to the week we have had!
The children learned lots about the geography of Peru and answered the big question of, Where Is Paddington From? Let’s see what the children found out.
Another excellent day in 2Blue! The children role-played a Peruvian Tale, learned all about Peruvian textiles and even designed their own outfit using collage. They also used their measuring skills to create Pan Pipes, too. Finally, they learned some Spanish phrases.
Today, the children explored why Paddington left Peru. Through this big question, they explored the Amazon Rainforest and it’s layers. After that, they took inspiration from a Peruvian artist called Pablo and recreated his artwork. Amazing work everyone!
Today, the children explored how Paddington celebrated Christmas in Peru. Through this big question, the children explained how Peruvians celebrated Christmas, designed a Christmas meal, sang some carols and finally, designed and created a Christmas decoration!
We gave Paddington a British Christmas! To do this, the children decorated biscuits, created paper chains and even had a little boogie! They also enjoyed a bounce on the bouncy castle for winning the brick wall.
Well done, 2Blue for simply being the BEST! I miss you already ❤️
