3 Red marvellous start to Maths week 🔺🔵🔶🟥

This week is a special week in 3 Red, it is Maths week. This week we are focusing on shapes and turning clockwise and anti-clockwise. Today we took part in a range of activities recognising angles and turns. We gave each other instructions using this terminology to describe turns, we went outside and directed our partner around as well as directing the bee – bots using right angles. The children have done fantastic and have given their best to every task! Please see below a few photos and a short video.

    Today was a great amazing day .
    I learned in a corner there 90 degrees and I learned new shapes.
    There’s are four quarter turns in 1 full turn.

    A right angle is at 90 degrees.
    A right angle is the same as a quarter turn.
    We learnt that a cylinder is the strongest shape.

    We loved it we learnt that cylinder is the strongest shape that is why they use them in bridges or they will colapse.We learned that a right angle is at 90 degrees.
