3W Identify bones in human skeleton!

This week in Science 3W have been looking at identifying bones in the human skeleton. Thanks to Mr Carter we learnt a new song. Children also made a prediction about who will be able to jump the furthest . We did this by carrying out an experiment measuring everyone’s femur and measuring the distance with a tape measure. Did the children with a long or short femur bone jump the furthest ? We all had a fun learning . 😊👍🏼

    The longest bone in the skeleton is the thigh bone.

    The stapes is the smallest bone in the body and is in the middle ear.

    There are 206 bones in the human skeleton.

    The people with long femur do not jump the furthest because they may have not use enough force.
