This half term in English, we will be writing a persuasive text to help stop deforestation. To help us with this, we had a debate. We split the class in half and both sides presented their arguments clearly, with evidence and explanations to support their points. We learned it was important to listen to different points of view. Take a look at the video below that showcases today’s debate.

    In the video i was for but i actually am against deforestation.
    I think this because….
    ⭐18% of our food comes from the Rainforest.
    ⭐Animals will lose their homes.
    ⭐We get 20% of oxygen from Rainforest.

    In the video I was for but the hole school wants to be against and should be against because our rainforest are really important and mostly the Amazon rainforest if it gets chopped down animals will lose there habitats and they can get extinct

    I’m against deforestation because if we cut down trees we will have less oxygen and it’s important to have oxygen because we breathe it.

    I am against the deforestation because, if the trees are cut down there will be no plants and trees to release oxygen for us to breathe and survive on Earth. There will be no sufficient rain on earth and the global warming will be increased.
