4 Red Science week

Monday 17th July 2023

Today the children have been learning all about where electricity comes from.

Can you all tell me one thing you have enjoyed/learnt today?

Iโ€™m shockedโ€ฆ youโ€™ve been learning about electricity and it looks like youโ€™ve had some great fun too. Keep up this energy all week. Mrs Masters

  2. Anaya R.

I loved it soooo much. I learnt what renewable and non-renewable energy is.

  3. Emmanuel Lawrence

It was very fun and I learnt about the uses of wind turbines and solar panels.

  4. Arfa S.

I have enjoyed and I have learned that a non renewable can only be used once and that renewable is when you can more than once.
I have learned about electricity and how it works.

  5. Adam O.

I had a lot of fun! I have learnt that anemometers measure wind. And which direction the wind is going.

  6. Aaron G.

    Electricity

  7. Aaron G.

I have learnt about non renewable and renewable energy and enjoyed making the posters. Renewable energy means when you can replace enery. Non-renewable energy sources is energy you can’t replace.

  8. Ramandeep K.

I learnt how electricity comes to our houses and learnt about renewable resources and non renewable resources such as coal.
I enjoyed making the anemomteres using the cups and clay.

  9. Khadeeja M.

I have enjoyed making the Anemometers because it was fun and every one had to concentrate and use the great values Teamwork and Communication and Tenacity.

  10. Zaynab M.

I have learnt how a wind turbine works I have enjoyed making the wind turbine.
    EXAMPLE
The gas is made by coal that is burnt down.
A wind turbine can only spin if wind pushes it .
This whole process of how electricity works is very bad because it can create 1 deforestation 2 global warming .

    1. Ianis-Andrei D.

I learnt that you can make engey

  11. Zaeem J.

I enjoyed making the anemometer and I have learnt that water can make electricity and that it is renewable energy.

  12. Alinna A.

I enjoyed the clay to make or windmill and I learnt that windmills are call national grid if they are in a groups.

  13. Sabiha K.

I enjoined making the poster because we got to learn about renewable and non renewable energy. The thing I learnt today is that examples of non renewable energy are coal, oil and gas.

  14. Mohammed K.

I have learnt what renewable and non-renewable is .Renewable is energy that can be used more than once.Non-renewable is energy that can be only be used once.I enjoyed making the windmills because, now I know how much wind you need to spin a fake windmill.

  15. Ahmad R.

I enjoyed making the wind shell

  16. Hamsia D.

Can you all tell me one thing you have enjoyed/learnt today?
One thing that I have enjoyed today is when we made the anemometers.
One thing that I have learnt is that non-renewable energy is when you can only use it once and renewable energy is when you can use it more than once.

We have learned something new in science and it is : what is non renewable and how does it work .
    What is renewable?
Renewable energy is energy that comes from a source that won’t run out. They are natural and self-replenishing, and usually have a low- or zero-carbon footprint. Examples of renewable energy sources include wind power, solar power, bioenergy (organic matter burned as a fuel) and hydroelectric, including tidal energy.
    How does it work ?
Renewable energy is energy that comes from a source that won’t run out. They are natural and self-replenishing, and usually have a low- or zero-carbon.

I have learnt something new and that is, Most electricity, though, is produced from non-renewable sources like fossil fuels (coal, crude oil, natural gas, and uranium).Renewable energy comes from perpetual sources like wind, solar or geothermal. The meaning of URANIUM is ‘A silvery metal that is very dense-more than 19 times denser than water.’ That was such a greate day..
