5 Blue Canal Trip

Mr Kane

5 Blue went on an adventure to Coventry Canal we went to investigate whether the canal was a type of river. We looked at the features of a canal, we mapped our route and drew a field sketch. On the way back we analysed the types of litter and discussed ways in which we could make the canal cleaner and safer.

5 Blue were a credit to the school, representing themselves and their families exceptionally well, as i have come to expect.

Well done on a fantastic trip 5 Blue.

    I have learn that a river is not a canal because a canal is man made ( unlike a river )

    I learnt that James Brindley was one of the early canal engineers who worked on some of the first canal in the Modern Era. James Brindley built the Coventry Canal & the Coventry Canal Basin

    I learnt that some people live in rivers, in little boats called barges.These are one of the features of The Coventry Canal.
    Others include:
    Trees
    Wildlife
    Benches, and most importantly…
    Water!

    I have learnt a canal is a man made feature and a river is a physical feature so that is a difference.
