5 White weekly blog.

What a fantastic week of learning we have had in 5 White. We have been exploring area and perimeter in Maths which has lead to some amazing double page spreads inspired by the work produced in year 6.

In English we have been using our powers of persuasion to sell some strange items and in science we have been experimenting with house hold products to test their absorbency.

Well done 5 White. Enjoy your weekend and have a well earned rest.

Mr Kane

In Science we learnt what absorbs water faster. First we tried a sponge , it aborsbed alot of water. Then we tired fabric paper but the fabric paper didn’t absorb. When we tried tissue paper it disappeared. Absorb means when an object takes in after then keeps it sucked in until you squeeze.

    write a brief explanation:
we had materials and had to dip then into little cups of water and then first we did blue tissue and dipped in into the the water because we had to find out how much it will absorb. After that we used a bit of kitchen roll and dipped it in the water to find how much it will absorb we did that with the last last 2 items witch were sponge and tissue and see how much it absorbed.
I found out that the sponge absorbed the most water and the least one that absorbed was tissue.
