5R Well-being Day

Author visit

We were very lucky to meet author, Mark Lowry. We had an assembly where we listened to an extract of his book. It was very entertaining! We learnt what inspired him to write his books.

Collaging

To โ€˜keep learningโ€™, we used collaging skills to create a river scene as a background for our surrealist art. We used creative thinking, resilience and tenacity to creat our own unique pieces.

British values

We discuss the importance of British values and what we can do to be good British citizens. We then worked collaboratively to create a British values display for our classroom.

Wet play games

We were brilliant role models whilst playing with Year 1 children. We used white boards and counters to teach them some games. The year 5 children were Greta with the smaller children.

What was your favourite part of your well-being day?

I enjoyed meeting the author because he gave loads of ideas on how to write a good story. Also I enjoyed colouring in one of the British Values.
