6 Blue’s World Book Day 🌎📚

Today, 6 Blue celebrated their love of books by coming to school dressed as their favourite book character. Everyone put so much effort into their costumes and looked amazing! We spent the morning sharing our favourite books and exploring various comics. After this, we researched comics and the history behind them and shared our findings on a poster. 6 Blue also had the opportunity to visit the school library and find books that best showcased who they are. In the afternoon, 6 Blue experienced a workshop with The Brothers Mcleod who write and illustrate books and animated tv programmes, such as Shaun the Sheep. During the workshop they learned how to create a character by answering seven questions, how to draw Louis from their book Knight Sir Louis and to create their own story.

    My favourite book is Harry Potter by J.K Rowling because it is full of adventure and suspense.
    What did you enjoy most about the day?
    I enjoyed creating our own knight using pop art.

    My favourite book is the boy who lived with dragons because its interesting and it make sense as some books don’t for me.
