Today, children had the opportunity to carryout a debate. The topic of the debate was:

‘Natural Disasters: Are they man-made or natural?

The following are the skills that we had to use to ensure our debate was effective:

-Facts to support each point   – Manner has to be respectful and persuasive     – Emotive language   

-Rhetorical questions            – Comparative and causal conjunctions                    – Counter arguments                  -Formal language                – Clear voice
