6 Red exploring themes

Over the past two days we watched ’ The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas’.
We created a double page spread exploring themes within the story. We used images and extracts from the book and film to identify themes and compare these to our lives.

How does the value of ‘individuality’ allow you to have a different life to Bruno and Shmuel?

Compare life today with those who lived during this time period?

As part of our home reading please complete this novel- it is one of our one hundred books to read!

    In World War 2 men would work and wife were housewives however now men and wives can all work.
    In World War 2 most children never went school as most schools shut down on the other hand now we are able to go to school. In World War 2 there were only newspapers now we
    have social media to share injustice.
    In Germany during 1939-1945 Jews were being sent to concentration camps however now anyone is able to live anywhere.
