6 Red’s Winter theme sonnets

Blog by Steven and Abdullah An:
Over the last few weeks, we have been inspired by the British forecast and decided to write our own winter theme sonnets. Below are selection of videos not from regular six red children but poets of six red!

Key skills we have developed over this unit of learning:

*The rhyming patterns in a sonnet- ABAB CDCD EFEF GG

*Including 10 syllables in each line

*Including 14 lines for the whole sonnet

*We used repetition for example Crunch, crunch, crunch

*We used figurative language for example hyperbole’s to create exaggeration

What have you enjoyed the most this poetry unit?
