Why did Shakespeare visit his home in Stratford so infrequently?

    BRONZE:
    1. William got married to Anne Hathaway.
    Anne gave birth to twins.
    He bought New Place.
    William was baptised.
    2. Frustration.
    3. William Shakespeare was married to Anne Hathaway and had twins. He was born and buried at Stratford Upon Avon.

    SILVER:
    William Shakespeare wrote comedy and tragedy plays which were about jealousy, anger, love and more.

    GOLD:
    William Shakespeare went to his home town, Stratford, because he bought New Place and lived there. He traveled from London to Stratford Upon Avon, and it took him to travel that far for about 3-4 days!

    Shakespeare wrote his plays so people could relate to them,most of them we’re based on love,anger,jealousy,war religion and romance.

    Gold:
    Shakespeare didnt frequently visit his home town (stratford) as it was a long journey ,it would take up to 4 days to get there from london by horse.

    Fun Facts!
    1.Shakespeare could not spell.
    2.He got married young.
    3.He wrote atleast 37 plays.
    4.He survived the bubonic plauge.
    5.His house contained as many as 30 rooms.
    6.He never left England.
    7.He wrote over a 150 sonnets and several other poems
    8.Shakespeare’s longest play is hamlet with over 30,000 words it took 4 hours to perform.
    9.One anagram of the letters in William Shakespeare’s name is “I am a weakish speller”.
    10.William Shakespeare is said to have introduced about 3,000 words to the english dictionary.
