Macbeth is a lot more ambitious than Banquo. Macbeth is also a lot more guilty compared to Macbeth as he killed King Duncan, Macduff’s family and Banquo. He also started to hallucinate because of his guilt. However, Banquo could have been guilty because of killing people in the battle. Banquo was more loyal than Macbeth as he didn’t betray the king when he heard the prophecy the witches made. Macbeth and Banquo had the same amount of power in the beginning of the story as they were both a general in the army. After Scotland wins the battle, Macbeth has more power as he becomes Thane of Cawdor. In the middle of the story, Macbeth gains even more power as he kills King Duncan and then becomes King. I think Banquo has more courage than Macbeth as Macbeth killed King Duncan in his sleep rather than fighting him then killing him and put the daggers on the slaves to make it look like they did it. Banquo is more brave as he stepped up for his son even though he knew he could get killed which he did.
