Exploring conditions that seeds thrive in – 2R

During our science topic, The Apprentice Gardener, we have been investigating seeds and determining which conditions they thrive in. We planted seeds in five different containers and placed them in a variety of locations around school, watered them regularly and observed them over time. Ladybird group explained our findings.

What do seeds need to thrive? Why do you think the seeds that were in the fridge didn’t germinate?

Hi Amelia. Thank you for commenting on the blog. Where did your group put their seeds?

Seeds need water and soil. They need some sunlight.

They did not because there was not enough light and there was not enough water. It was just too cold.
