What is the difference between multiples and factors?

What is the difference between multiples and factors?
The difference of a multiple and a factor is when: multiple is a number reached by multiplying a given number by another, while factors of a number are are finite,
    yet multiples are infinite.
Write all the common multiples of 3 and 4.
    12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84, 96, 108, 120, 132 and more
Write all the factor pairs of 24. Remember to work through them systematically.
    1 and 24
    2 and 12
    3 and 8
    4 and 6

What is the difference between multiples and factors?
Factors are the intergers that make up numbers (e.g 5 is a factor of 15) while multiples are intergers that are the product of multiplying factors (e.g 27 is a multiple of 3).
Write all the common multiples of 3 and 4.
    12, 24 ,36, 48, 60 , 72, 84, 96, 108 and 120.
