Protest Culture -1960s- 5 White

We have been learning about Protests in Topic. In the 1960s protest culture emerged, particularly amongst the youth. People were now anti-war and as wars raged became more anti-establishment. Across the world the Civil rights, rights-movement inspired people to fight for equal rights.

Do we still see protests fighting for rights today? How? Why? Do you think the 1960s started this? What did you learn today?

    I see protests today but I don’t think the 1960’s started it.
    Civil Rights are when you have equal rights for everyone.
    I think culture means everyone’s religious rights.
    Protests are when large groups of people roam around places because they want to stop something.

    No, the 1960’s didn’t start protests because there was 1950’s protest about segregation.

    Civil Rights are rights that everyone has to protect their freedom.

    Protests are when people want equality.

    Culture is where you come from.

    We do still see protests because of racism. I think the 1960s started it this again because after Martin Luther King died it may have happened again.
    I learned more about Martin Luther King and what his dream was that happened. He said that he would want boys and girls to join hands together.

    Civil rights is when someone wants something to change.

    I think protests are still going on.I think that in the 1960’s they started the protesting because when there was war they wanted peace.Civil rights means our right that some government have been rejecting.
