We have had such a fantastic Wellbeing day today! The children took part in different activities to support their health and wellbeing. Take a look at what we have been up to below!

To link the number symbol with its cardinal number value by completing a traffic survey.

The children walked down to the Stoney Stanton Road. They used their observational skills to complete a tally to see which different vehicles passed them in a 5 minute window. The children then counted their tally and wrote the correct number.

To understand the importance of washing hands correctly.

The children learnt about why it is important to wash their hands and how to do this correctly. They were shown how to wash their hands correctly and then had a go at doing it themselves to practice. The children could talk about the importance of hand washing.

To plant and nurture a seed.

The children each planted a sunflower. They discussed the different things that seeds and plants need to grow. The children will then continue to nurture their plant until next Friday when they will bring them home to continue to care for them – stay tuned for more information about this as we will be having a Sunflower Growing competition!

To create a card or gift for Easter.

The children learnt about Easter and how some people celebrate. They developed creative skills by creating a card or gift to give to someone special.

To develop skills from PE this term.

The children developed skills from PE this term by consolidating their dance unit. They used a range of dance equipment to move to music and to copy actions from the teacher.
