RW – First Day Back!

Welcome back RW. We have had a great day and children have settled back into learning superbly! Take a look at our learning from today below!

Maths – To subitise to 5.

We developed a deeper understanding of subitising today when subitising to 5. We were able to say ‘how many’ without counting. We played a game where we matched quantity to numeral whilst subitising.

Literacy – To use phonetical knowledge when writing.

We read the story ‘Supertato’ by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet. We couldn’t believe how cheeky the Pea was! We used our phonic knowledge to segment and blend words to describe the Pea when writing simple sentences.

Basic Skills – To write my name with developing letter formation.

We are really trying hard to form our letters correctly when writing our names.
