Welcome back to school, 2Blue. This week, the children will delve into STEAM Week (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths). Our big question isโฆWhat is water? Letโs see what we discover!
Did you know ocean has 5 layers? The children do! They were fantastic at identifying each layer, and even explored the different creatures that live in each. Finally, the children made an ocean bottle, observing the different layers too! Great start, 2B.
What a day! The children created their very own rockpool, using many things from the outdoor areas, I loved the teamwork displayed! Then, the children used their senses to identify the differences between fresh and sea water. Finally, the children created shades and tints.
Well 2 Blue, weโve had another fun filled day! We have been learning all about Greenpeace and how they help to save the whales in the ocean. We have also created some lovely sun catchers (port-holes) and a range of posters to inform others of their mission.
Did anyone know what the word, Buoyancy meant before today? Well they definitely do now. The children tested a range of items to see whether they would float or sink. They designed a new logo for Greenpeace and even made a ship for them too!
A perfect day to end a GREAT week! The children learned so much about our amazing Earth. Well done, 2Blue! As always, I am in awe of how super you all are. Have a lovely weekend and remember it is โOdd Socksโ day on Monday.
