Week 1 in Reception Blue (11.9.23) ๐Ÿ˜

What a super week we have had in RB this week. The children are setting in well and learning our school rules. They are starting to take care of our learning environment, helping to keep the classroom tidy and taking care of the equipment.

This week we started our phonics sessions with a focus on the speed sounds, m, a, s, t, d and the children brought home handwriting booklets to support this learning.
Our story focus this week was โ€˜The Colour Monsterโ€™ by Anna Llenas. In our Communication and Language lesson we discussed the story and talked about what makes us happy. As part of our SEAL session we had a circle time and shared what makes us special .

Please have a look at our super learning. What was your favourite part of the week?

“I love yellow from the colour monster, and it means happy. My favourite part of the week was the dough disco, and learning about numbers” by Joshua
