Week 5 in Reception Blue πŸŽ‰

What a fantastic week we have had in Reception Blue! This week we took part in lots of activities to celebrate Chinese New Year! This year it is the year of the tiger! 🐯

We created and decorated Chinese lanterns and wrote sentences about Chinese New Year using our phonics skills to help us segment and blend the words. We practised our number formation and developed our number skills by sequencing the numbers on the dragons and matching the correct amount of cubes and counters to the numbers. It was so much fun finding out about how people celebrate Chinese New Year and the most exciting part of the week was tasting Chinese food and talking about which was our favourite. It was delicious! Please have a look at our wonderful learning and leave a comment on the blog. What was your favourite part of the week?

Ruixi likes the Story of Chinese Zodiac. She can tell me who is the first one of the animal race and why is it. It’s very impressive. Thanks very much.
