School closed on 6th May for a Bank Holiday. School open again on the 7th.

Week 5 in Reception Blue (6.2.23)

This week we continued with our topic for this half term, ‘Our Favourite Stories’. Our story for this week was ‘The Highway Rat’ written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. We also continued with our PSHE work and focus on Citizenship.😊

Communication and Language- To listen and talk about stories to build familiarity and understanding. To learn new vocabulary.

Literacy- To create a ‘Wanted Poster’.

Basic Skills To practise fine motor control.

Maths – To match die representations to number.

Maths – To explore length.

Expressive Art/Design– To create our own eye masks similar to the Highway Rat.


SMSC-To talk about a story which is special to Muslims.

Our Library visit
