Today in 4 Red, we celebrated World Book Day! The children did so well to be creative and dress up as their favourite book characters.
Then, we took part in a workshop that was lead by the McLeod brothers. They are a famous duo, known for animating and writing books! In the workshop, the children created their own characters for their story along with the McLeod brothers. Once they had their main character, they had to write their own story with their new and exciting character!
In the afternoon, the children designed their setting and background for their animations. They had to design their setting on card or paper, which meant they could use a variety of colours and drawings to make their setting detailed. To make their settings more 3D, some children cut their setting features out and placed them in different positions in the background. They then used Stop motion to bring their drawings to life. We had some amazing results!
