Dear Parents,

At BH, we are committed to ensuring the very best for every child. In Year 1, there are a few key activities we kindly ask you to support at home. Even the smallest efforts you make can have a big impact on your child’s progress and confidence in school.

  • Please make sure your child reads their book every day—even just one page makes a difference—and remember to sign their reading diary each time.
  • Aim for at least four reading sessions per week. Children who reach this target could be our reading champions! Check out Mrs. Morris’s blog post here: How often do you read? – Broad Heath Primary School
  • Support your child by regularly visiting the Phonics Homework Blog. Weekly videos are uploaded to help prepare them for the upcoming Phonics Screening Check. There are only a few weeks to go—let’s keep up the momentum!
As always, thank you for your support. You are making a huge difference!

Hamaad reads his book everyday and I’m satisfied with his reading. He does his phonic practice every day also.
