To develop our Science and Topic work we will be taking Year One to Coombe Abbey Country Park in Warwickshire on Thursday 9th July. On the day of the trip we will be looking at nature and wildlife in their natural habitats and children will be given the chance to explore animals and creatures that live in water and will have the opportunity to go Pond Dipping. This trip will help to give children the experiences to develop vocabulary and support language development for EAL children.
The cost of the trip will be £7 per child. Please can all monies be paid no later than Friday 19th June and be sent to your child’s class in a named envelope, clearly stating your child’s class and the trip that we are going on.
On the day your child will need to bring a packed lunch in a named carrier bag. Those children who are entitled to free school meals will have a lunch provided.
Your child will need to wear comfy clothes and sensible shoes on the day of the trip and all children MUST wear their school jumper. Please ensure that your child has a hat and sun-cream on if it is a hot day and a rain coat if not as we will be outside for most of the day. The bus will leave school at 9.10 and be back by the end of the school day.
If you require any further details please speak to one of the Year 1 Teachers.
