Year 3 Reading Challenge Autumn 2 2023

This term, we will be learning about instructional and information texts. Below are a ronge of different texts, as it is important to read a breadth of text. If you would usually complete silver challenges in class, then the expectation is to complete the Bronze and Silver challenge here. If you usually complete Gold, then you should do Bronze, SIlver and Gold for this reading challenge.

If you have any questions about the expectations, please see your class teacher.

    5. I would like to be a Roman to experience the life that they had and also would like to watch gladiators fighting and chariot races.
    6. I wouldn’t like to eat thier food they don’t have the variety of food we have and also thier clothes don’t look comfortable to wear. The poor and rich eat and wear clothes differently.

    the women wore a tunic down to their knees and wore a stola on top of their tunic whereas the men would wear a tunic with a cloak on top of it.
    The girls and boys also dressed differently
    the girls wore ankle-length tunics with a belt and necklaces called lunula.
    The boys would wear knee-length tunics and a necklace called a bulla.
    2)They ate bread pancakes with dates and honey.
    3)The Romans who were less fortunate were porridge

    5) I would want to be a Roman because there are pancakes and bread for breakfast!
    I wouldn’t want to be a Roman Empire because I may have a chance to I eat porridge every day.
