Year 3- Sculpting and Carving techniques

Today we took part in a Round Robin of activities outside practising our sculpting and carving techniques. With Miss Holland we practised sculpting the base of our Canopic jars, with Mrs Farooq we practised writing our hieroglyphic messages and alongside Miss Redhead we carved the faces. Please see the gallery below to see us practising these art skills.

It was fun to write our names in hieroglyphs on the ground even though it was interrupted by the rain. 😎 πŸ‘.

The children writing the hieroglyphic messages were written beautifully on the ground with chalk and you all did a superb job with using the Egyptian letters.
