Our spelling lesson today focuses on words with the -ous suffix and the different rules for adding the suffix to a root word.

    A root word is a word which does not have an affix .
    A suffix is a word when the affix is added right at the end of a root word.
    adventurous ,victorious, jealous and tremendous .
