    My diary entry
On 16th July 1969 a Apollo 11 mission had began. Neil Armstrong, Michell Collins and Buzz Aldrin where about to travel to the moon. When they got to the moon Buzz Aldrin was going to walk on the moon . This was a very exiting moment for the USA. When they got out of the space craft they were floating because there was no gravity.

This is a diary from Neal Armstrong on 20th July 1969 on the day I landed on the moon:
    – At 6:30 when i traveled to space it felt cold as the South Pole.
    – At 6:45 I started feeling nausea from the force of the Gravity and also feeling like I am about to puke from also Disorientation Which is also from gravity force.
    – At 7:30 I kept on thinking about what President Kennedy speech was about the space race and when he got shot in 1963 22nd of November.
    – At 7:45 an error predicted that in the Apollo 11 their was a Nail bite from the lunar orbit.
    – At 8:00 I looked back on Earth while barely seeing it from 3 light-years away all I saw was the Pacific Ocean streaming down North America and South America.
    – At 8:15 my fellow comrades Buzz Aldrin who was Eagle pilot and Michael Collins who was Command module pilot spotted the moon.

    Apollo 11 moon landing
On July 16th 1969 at 08.17pm the most amazing thing happened in the USA. Thousands of people watching it everywhere. Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and Edwin”Buzz” Aldrin launching up in a rocket ready to go to space! Because there is no gravity i space, the three men were starting to float. But they didn’t die because of their spacesuits which are made of a white, non-flammable material and that they wear helmets.

On 20th of July 1969 there was a massive milestone for the Americans, because that was the day when the first three people landed on the moon! There names were Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins.
They were incredible, brave and noble people. As the first man on the moon (Neil Armstrong) climbed down the ladder, he made a well known phrase which was “One small leap for man, one huge leap for mankind.” However, after that, there was still one job to do, and that was to place the American flag on the Moon! Then a few minutes later, Neil Armstrong held up the American flag and place it on the moon! Then at that moment everyone in America and the UK were screaming in joy because that was when the Americans won the space race!
