Today, Year 5 for their well being day took part in sports activities, picked up litter from the school grounds, created some great bookmarks and spent time working on their art project to design food packaging using recycled cardboard.
What was your favourite activity and why?
Making Bookmarks – children worked in pairs to make bookmarks to gift to someone. They had to use their teamwork and communication skills to ensure they were successful. Here are some of the fantastic designs below.
Stop Littering – groups of children went outside to pick litter up from the school and had group discussions about how they can help and support the environment and to prevent littering.
Sports – Year 5 used the value of teamwork to take part in playground games, such as ‘scarecrow tag’ and dodgeball.
Art (Food Packaging) – We worked in groups to write a design brief for our Spanish food packaging for Patatas Bravas. Then we used our measuring skills to make nets on squared paper to design our packaging.
