3 Red’s Science Day

Miss Holland

Today 3 Red have displayed their curiously and knowledge, learning all about Barometers. We started the day researching and creating a fact file about our Scientist of the day, Evangelista Torricelli. We witnessed an exciting experiment demonstrating air pressure and using an egg, fire and a glass. In the afternoon we applied our knowledge to create our own barometers and learned about how air pressure affects the weather in our atmosphere.

    Fire needs air to keep going. The egg blocked the air pressure so fire went out. I enjoyed watching this experiment!

    Today we learned about Evangelista Torricelli. We did a lot of writing about him.
    We folded two pieces of paper and then we wrote on them ‘no salt’ and ‘salt’.
