3B- A Day in Pompeii

Firstly, what a fantastic term you have all had. Myself and Mrs Walker are extremely impressed with all your hard working and resilience that you have shown. You have gained, matured and have set the bar high for the Spring term.

I was really impressed 3 Blue with how enthused and eager you were to learn about volcanoes during our topic work about Italy. As promised I have uploaded the video about the eruption in Pompeii with 3 tasks. You do not have to complete this. It is optional as I do want you to rest over the holidays. and enjoy Christmas (if you are celebrating) and the New Year.

Below is the video we watched in class about the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Watch it again and complete the challenges below.

How many active volcanoes are there in Italy? Can you name them?

Write a diary entry as a survivor after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in Pompeii in 79AD. Remember to include what you felt, what you could see, what you might of been able to hear and what you could smell. Use the word mat below to help you up level your words.

Research famous volcanic eruptions in Italy and create a timeline. Remember, this must be in chronological order. You can show your findings as a timeline in your homework books or as an i-movie.

Send in any good work to the link below.
