In English this half term, we are exploring stories where a character faces a dilemma, focusing on the story of The Great Kapok Tree.

This week we have been getting familiar with the story by sequencing the events, analysing the structure and acting out the story. Take a look at some of our performances!

    My favourite part of the story was when the animals speak to the man who tries to cut down the tree.
    The main character’s dilemma is that he has to cut down a tree, but he doesn’t want to. In the end, he drops the axe!
