We had the pleasure of having Misa in 5 Blue today. She talked about Japan, the food they ate and school life. We learnt that children commute to school by themselves, either by bus, train or bike. Misa showed us the traditional clothing worn in Japan, it was called a Kimono. She had a doll that was dressed in the traditional wear too. When there is a wedding, it is traditional for the brides mother and mother in law to wear a black Kimono. We then went on to create an origami Crane bird. Misa talked through each step with a video to guide us too.
