Butterworth Hall, Warwick Arts Centre
53 Broadheath pupils from Years 4,5 and 6 participated in Performance with other schools on Wednesday at the Warwick Arts Centre. Pupils were looked after by the wonderful Mrs Habib and Mrs Sanders. The coaches were late arriving to pick us up, and pupils behaved maturely: Being very sensible and listening carefully to instructions from the Coventry Music Hub team. We all worked hard in the afternoon rehearsal (1.30pm until 5.10pm – we did not arrive until 2pm). We listened intently to the Conductor and Composer of the Cultural Cantata – Kevin Stannard, rehearsing with many other children from different schools. We were singing parts of the songs that we had rehearsed because of where we were sat. Our pupils coped wonderfully.
We were accompanied by live musicians and soloists. We enjoyed watching and hearing the different instruments of the Orchestral families.
The evening’s performance was well received by the audience, and performers and listener’s alike enjoyed the beautiful sounds heard in this large, glorious sounding professional space. It was a real treat for us all.
Thank you to everyone who helped this event go so smoothly.
Congratulations and well done to you all.
Mr Russell
