We define place value by finding the value of the numbers in the columns.

Could you tell me how we define Place Value?
Place value is when you see the value of the number whilst they are in the columns.

    Examples include:
    5 thousands 1 hundred and sixty(tens) four(ones) = 5,164

Place value is finding the value of a number by using the columns
    E.g
If 5 was in the ten thousandths column then the value of 5 would be 50000.

If 9 was in the tens column then it’s value would be 90.
